The poster shown above has very little in the way of written literature as it is intended to show minimal information as readers may become disinterested or will not read the information displayed in full if it is too 'wordy'. This can also be because when in a face to face environment certain conversations can be missed or misheard so taking minutes at the AGM is vitally important so the information discussed can be revisited at anytime and ensure action points are driven in future, as (Mace, 2005) states 'It is not enough to give a spoken account of where you have been or who you have rung up. The evidence must be written'.

Informal language is more casual and spontaneous. It is used when communicating with friends or family either in writing or in conversation. It is used when writing personal emails, text messages and in some business correspondence. The tone of informal language is more personal than formal language (UTS, 2014). 
It is informal to the point that most participants do not even use text, they use emoji's instead to signify their availability.  Similar to punctuation, emojis are used to express emotion - irony or humor - and to substitute body language and tone of voice in text-based communication (Social Media Today, 2016). One of the apps we use to check the handicaps of our members is the wales golf app as shown above. 
Visual literacy is a set of abilities that enables an individual to effectively find, interpret, evaluate, use, and create images and visual media. Visual literacy skills equip a learner to understand and analyze the contextual, cultural, ethical, aesthetic, intellectual, and technical components involved in the production and use of visual materials. Charts and graphs can clearly describe the growth or decline of population, financial performance of a company, etc. Cartoons can sum up a viewpoint or opinion (Birmingham University, 2019). 
The Golf Wales app uses visual aids, images and embeds numeracy to create a very clear, black and white form of communication which is an imperative part of a Literacy event.
I use this frequently as it give me instantaneous feedback which is visually pleasing and easy to understand.

Due the the fact we will be travelling across the entirety of South Wales we need a resource which can reliably direct us to the correct location and for this we tend to use google maps. The reason we all use the same app is so if there are any issues will will still all end up in the same place.
