When I think about changing our classroom/school cultures to one that values questioning, I think it starts with ourselves -- myself. If I show students that I question what I've heard and what I think I know, then the image of the all-knowing teacher starts to diminish. Likewise, doing activities like RQI (LOVE this) tells students that you value questioning in itself. Answers are therefore a separate task. I've thought of integrating RQI into each unit if I can to really emphasize its value and build the skill of questioning.
