Sure, it may not be too famous in the global sense but it sure is very popular here in my country that almost everyone knows about these stories. Something about them clicks on the traits of Filipinos, whether it be the art styles, the plots, or the live adaptations. Maybe it is because of the fact that comics can be found in almost any kind of media like newspapers and magazines before the Information Age of computers arrived in the Philippines. First of all, this theory deals with icons, symbols, signs, etcetera, while studying how they impact social and other cultural contexts. Now, one can see where this analysis is going to go by examining the core concept of stories to begin with: love and hate. Going with this logic, one can create statements in regards to philosophical and psychological perspectives of comics or culture as a whole. These comics can bring changes in a national and international scale that would influence the principles of people in their lives, whether it be their physical appearances by looking good, mental willpower, psychological views, and so much more.

Humanity's belief is all about demonstrating the eternal upper hand that love has over hate in all aspects of our existence and that can be shown in popular culture, especially comics, where the hero will always win against the villain, no matter what the circumstances and the odds are. That is what the mythology theory in semiotics states that everything from comic books have massive appeal due to fictional stories with themes and meanings behind their narratives. The themes include signs of good and evil duking it out to see who would come out on top as the supreme idea. There is also a denotation of the fist seen as a hand with clutched fingers signifying fighting as its connotation. The icons of images like superhero logos being recognizable along with symbols.
