Establishing an integrated and comprehensive health system where an all inclusive Stakeholder process is implemented. Additionally, it would be very important to improve infrastructure for health, water and sanitation and effective communication.

For a resource poor county like Nigeria, social empowerment Is key. Many people survive on daily earnings making it difficult to comply with stay at home orders. Also, the government would need to subsidize the cost of face mask and sanitizers as well as make water supply a priority at all community level.

A multi pronged, multi disciplinary and multi sectoral approach would need to be adopted

The Philippines should invest on:
1. Training of Human Resources in the Department of Health and health facilities. Lack of expertise in the Department of Health may have contributed to the poor governance it demonstrates.
2. Secure and harmonized information communication and technology system that is able to collect accurate data and share health data among stakeholders. This system could generate evidence for health policies.
3. Basic health infrastructure, medicines, and supplies. Available data shows that there is too much inequity when it comes to access to health care. Allow building of select specialty care health facilities based on burden of disease.
4. Primary care and coordination of patient care in networks of health facilities. Regardless of ownership, health facilities should work together in delivering people-centered care.
5. Health promotion. Prevention is key!
