When I look at your images, I do see strong visual themes, but I don't yet see or understand a story. I don't quite understand what your argument or statement or question is. How can you focus on making that apparent? What question are you trying to answer or explore in your images? 
The trash image is one in which I start to feel a message, but it feels a bit less strong aesthetically - could we emphasize the contrast between the natural habitat and the trash?
I also like the axe image - that one is BY FAR the strongest in my opinion. More like this!
What environmental questions are we asking? How do humans impact the land around them? I think you need to go driving - what are areas where you can OBVIOUSLY see a huge environmental impact? How have humans HELPED the environment in some ways?  All of your shots are wide - can we do some extreme close ups and show textures? How could you show on a small scale the impact of humans? Micro plastics? Bugs trapped within walls of litter?
