9. omnivore-animals whose diets naturally include a variety of different foods that usually include both plants and animals
10. detrivore- feed on detritus particles, commonly digest decomposers that live on, and in, detritus particles.

      If an organism in a food web were to die off, an entire ecosystem could collapse. It would then cut off food suply to the animals that eat that organism, then they would start to die. And whatever ate that organism would in return die and so on.

Living things interacting with non living things in their environment makes up an ecosystem. A biosphere is all the ecosystems in the world combined. If the population of an organism rises or falls, it can affect the whole ecosystem, that's interdependence.

2. Discuss the difference between a food chain and a food web.

A food chain allows only one path of energy between species. A food web is bigger and a system of connected food chains.

3. Discus or demonstrate the 10% rule.

The 10% rule is when energy is passed in an ecosystem from on trophic level to the next only 10% of the energy will be passed on.

4. What is the order of the 3 groups.

In my opinion it is an issue that is beyond repair. Humans throughout the years have polluted the earth by creating factories, power plants, landfills, and burning fossil fuels. Pollution is threatening our biosphere  because pollution also kills populations, which upsets the balance of the ecosystem. The importance of this chapter is to teach us how our ecosystem works, and why we should all work to preserve the resources we have, and the habitats that are being destroyed to build more homes.
