He believed that it was no match to a man with a gun. Then suddenly one day a grizzly started to chase him! Lewis was able to out run him for 10 yards but then the bear started to gain on him. The bear lunged at him and started to bite his arm. His team eventually killed the bear. Suddenly the Indians began shooting arrows at the expedition. Clark got hit with an arrow mid thigh and Lewis on his shoulder. She was only 10! She helped the expedition so much. She killed a crocodile, and saved Lewis's life.
