         <description><![CDATA[<div>Thomas Paine was born on June, 8th of 1809 in New York. Growing up as a kid he grew up in a very poor family with a sister named Elizabeth. When Thomas turned 13 he worked in his fathers corset shop. Thomas was a very outgoing Man and was never satisfied with his work. Thomas was married to Elizabeth Ollive and was just tired of it all. Now because of his family being so poor he moved to America. Now he did not just move to America fun fact Benjamin Franklin his father in law persuaded him to go to america for a better life. Soon to find out he got divorced to Elizabeth and soon after got married to Mary Lambert. They lived in Margate, England after his shop in Sandwich failed. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In his career he worked with Benjamin Franklin and owned many little shops soon before. He didn't however become famous until 1776 when he started journalism and published the book "Common Sense"<br>This was an influence to the U.S government because when he published the "Common Sense" book it was supposed to be showing you the support of a patriot cause meaning many people would relate to it so the U.S government wanted to be a part of it many things lead to and from this though Thomas Paine was a volunteer to the American Revolution as a assistant to <br>General Nathanael Greene. Thomas Paine also had to do with the Boston tea party in some way.</div>]]></description>
