Leaving rehab before you complete your program is completely your choice. Just like it was your decision to check yourself into rehab in the first place. Although it is not recommended to leave in the middle of treatment it is possible. Most of the time people impulsively walk away from treatment because of anxiety, and not because they’ve thought through the pros, cons of the decision.

People who struggle with drug and alcohol addictions may need emotional and behavioral health rehab in addition to drug or alcohol rehab. Addiction is often both a cause and result of emotional or behavioral problems. Addicts may not know how to handle their emotions and turn to alcohol or drugs to numb painful feelings. In addition, negative feelings themselves can become a new addiction.
