- By getting students to draw what they think the digestive system may look like before learning and studying it; students are invited to appreciate how difficult it may have been to make judgments and drawings of anatomical structures when dissection of human bodies was forbidden.

When drawing a diagram of the digestive system, students will often add extra drawing such as hair and facial features to the drawing. This is not a sign of bad behaviour, but more their creative side shining through.
