I would like to attempt field notes because it is not something I do often, but I think when declaring points of focus during sessions, they will prove beneficial. I usually meet with a student and do not see them again after that, as they have one assignment to work on before handing it in. I think this method will allow me to keep good track of recurring themes in my tutoring sessions, as well as gain an understanding of student receptiveness/response to my tutoring methods. Again, like the audio recordings, I am not sure what to do with it if there is no means of comparison. I think in order for this reflective method to be useful, I would need to bring in the survey method to see if my findings and reflection add up with those of the students.
