In 2004 when Alex Lin was 9 years old he got inspired by reading the wall street journal. He tried reducing electronic waste with his group of friends that they called team WIN. He and his friends gathered signatures from a bunch of random people to pass his new bill. He wanted to change it be

because electronic waste takes up 70% of all toxic waste. So they came up with a great idea.

In the article classroom crusaders I read about I read about a person named Alex Castillo who wanted to add a “make-your-own” salad bar for their lunch at school. They wanted this because the children would choose to get hot lunch at the school. That includes pizza and other junk food. They talked to the school to try and execute their plan. They had a really smart idea and I think all schools should have this.

This makes me think that all teen activists have something in common. I think they all want to make a change in their community. In the first article Alex Lin wants to change the amount of electronic waste. In the second article Alex Castillo wants to change how people eat at their schools.
