         <description><![CDATA[<div>my hypothesis is that the wax paper is hydrophobic, since the food coloring was never absorbed by it. Obviously the water was hydrophilic towards other water, which is what led them to combine.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I think that the wax coating on the wax paper is hydrophobic, causing the food coloring to make a bubble and not absorb into the wax paper. If the wax paper was hydrophilic I would hypothesis that it would just absorb the coloring, like if you put water on a paper napkin</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I hypothesize that the parchment paper is hydrophobic and repels the dyes allowing them to float in a ball my first attempt showed them as balls better but my recording was off and I also believe that the two dyes are hydrophilic because they bonded together really quickly </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I believe that the wax paper is hydrophobic because it did not absorb the food coloring but the two dyes absorb each other which means they are hydrophilic. This reminds me of the rain when you are in the car the water hits the window and the glass doesn’t absorb the water. I did not have any other dye other than red.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Since we didn't have normal food coloring (and couldn't find any at the store), I melted the gel food coloring in hot water.  The experiment seemed to work as it normally would, which is good.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>For some reason this didn't work well for me, and I think it is because the paper I used isn't true parchment paper, it's some all natural "waxed paper" that's a little stupid. Based on the other videos I have watched, I would guess that the reason the food coloring doesn't stick to the parchment paper/ absorb is because the paper is hydrophobic. The food coloring would much rather be with each other than with the parchment paper. </div>]]></description>
