For example, after WWII Germany's economy crashed pretty hard. The government tried to stabalize the failing economy by printing more money, but inflation soared and now people were perhaps even worse off, as they had to carry around a substantial amount more of cash. However, the NYA creates jobs (mostly part time training) in order to jointly introduce skilled workers and money into that same economy, which was a big influence on local economies.
