The airline said it was against the dress code to wear a necklace over uniform. Yet the uniform policy was changed in 2007 so that one could wear symbols of faith over their uniform's. - Some other social barriers that face religions are the views of homosexuality. While America is coming to accept it, it is not accepted in religion. Some might find it offensive but within their religion they cant come to accept it.
- In the Protestant Christian church they encourage their members to abstain from drugs, alcohol, and tobacco to help alleviate the worldwide drug problems.
- Today, the church also opposed modern social reforms.

A women stated she was discriminated from getting a job due to her Christian religious belief. The plaintiff said the women was not as qualified as the other applicants and religion had nothing to do with it. The employer hired a Christian, so the court ruled in favor of the company.
