Aristotle organized the basic forms of government that are both based on the the common interest of the people to lead to the interest of the ruler(s). In this idea he put Monarchy v. Tyranny, Aristocracy v. Oligarchy, and Polity v. Democracy. In this pattern, he alluded to the idea that with democracy as a good system of government, it meant that both the wealth and poor citizens are being represented.

To Aristotle a constitution was a system of living for citizens. Because of this idea of the constitution being a way of life, Aristotle believed that is should fit the ideas of the people and should be acceptable to change. Aristotle recognized the fact that the world changes along with the government, so the constitution should be acceptable to change as well.

Aristotle was a firm on the belief that people should not believe everything they hear and to instead look at the different aspects of the topic, such as philosophy, politics, and news. Without his way of thinking and learning, he would probably not have thought of democracy as a constitutional government, because Plato, his mentor, believed in monarchy. Aristotle wanted others to think for themselves, because he thought of the fact that no one can think for another individual or even a group.

Throughout America's Constitution or Bill of Rights, Aristotle's beliefs are integrated into the documents. As Aristotle believed, a constitution is a way of life and with that in mind, the Constitution was amended to be acceptable with change because of its value to the country. Also in terms of who shall lead, the Constitution keeps in place a system in which there is democracy by having three branches of power to keep each other accountable. Aristotle's beliefs are woven into the makings of the Constitution and is found throughout the whole document from the base of democracy to even the ideals of a fair justice system. Another example of his influence is in the Bill of Rights which is all basic on the idea of individuality, which can be tied to Aristotle's idea of not following the norm and instead thinking for oneself. Aristotle as left a lasting impression of the United States of America in both its Constitution and Bill of Rights.
