My name is Muhammad Amir bin Kamaruddin, and I am a first-year student pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Shariah and Management at the Academy of Islamic Studies, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur. I am 20 years old and reside in Ijok, Selangor which is approximately a 50-minute drive from my home to the university. I am seventh from eight siblings which is I am the second youngest. My hobby are playing sports but the most played and loved is playing badminton because of my circle mostly badminton player.

Strength

My strengths include being able to play various sports such as football, badminton, and sepak takraw though not at a professional level like national representatives. Additionally, I have an interest in photography and possess some skills in photo editing.

Weakness

My weaknesses are that I am very shy and I am currently trying to always be confident and brave when facing an audience, especially when giving speeches and presentations. Additionally, I am easily envious of people who have abilities that I lack, even though I try to stay positive and remind myself that I have my skills as well.

Areas for improvement

The ways I can overcome my weaknesses are by practicing speaking frequently and constantly trying to step out of my comfort zone so that courage and confidence can be instilled in me. I also need to regularly interact with people, whether I know them or not, to ensure that my communication remains smooth and calm when meeting someone new. Lastly, I need to always be grateful for what Allah has bestowed upon me and remember that no person created on this earth is perfect.

E-portfolios are useful learning tools because they help me develop my own knowledge, give me action over previously invisible parts of the learning process and motivate me by putting the power of learning in my hands. Other than that, I have a forum to reflect on their learning and personal development through e-portfolios. I can develop a better awareness of my areas of strength and growth by keeping a journal of my accomplishments, experiences and difficulties. I can create objectives, monitor their progress, and gain self-awareness through this self-reflection.
