I think that PD should be clearly laid out under headings that will meet the needs of the organisation as well as the staff.
For example:
If the PD budget is €100K for a given year and the strategic CPD plan for TETB that year is to implement the Integrating Literacy and Language policy across all FET, then the options for achieving that goal , in terms of the PD required, need to be on a section of the site. Clearly laying out the options available by staff level and programme.
This could be:
  • Literacy Awareness training for Admin and ancillary staff, 
  • Integrating literacy and language training for Training instructors and PLC Colleges,
  • Advanced Integrating Literacy and Language training for BTEI and Youthreach
  • Trainer Development (for Integrating Literacy) studies for Literacy and ESOL tutors.   The entire framework for a given timeframe should be visible, so that it joins up and achieves the vision in a systematic way.  
A tracker could be attached to it, to indicate when a desired level of uptake of PD is achieved.

Quality Assurance (and within that Internal Verifier training, EA training, Internal Assessor training etc)
