I bet you like to go on trips and see are oceans, but what if all the marine life dies because of the stuff you use on a day to day life like your facial scrubs as well as your toothpaste and an abundance of other products you use on a daily basis  This is one reason why we need to prevent plastic pollution before it gets to the ocean.

There are so many animals that eat plastic and end up getting hurt and as well we are ruining their habitat . This is one reason why we should reduce plastic use.

There is no going back for what's already in the ocean  for example”Scientists think that the amount of plastic will triple by 2050”(“Plastic pollution”).This piece of evidence is showing that scientist believe that the amount of plastic in the ocean is gonna triple by 2050 which is bad for our oceans and marine animals as well as our human life.Here is another example of why plastic is bad for our oceans “That means discarded fishing nets and six pack rings can entangle animals”(“Plastic pollution”),This piece of evidence is showing just one of the many things that can happen for example “A sea turtle swims through the water and spots a white blob floating near the surface yum! It thinks a jellyfish,chasing after its dinner the turtle swallows the item,but the floating blob isnt a jellyfish its a plastic bag,”(“Plastic pollution”) This piece of evidence is saying that animals may swallow plastic and don't even realize they might die or even just get sick.These animals can also get entangled in these plastics.This is another reason why you should help fix plastic pollution.

We should all be using things that we know won't be put into our oceans such as plastic.For example “experts are encouraging people to look at alternatives”(“Thailand 17 pounds of plastic kills whale highlighting ocean pollution”) This piece of evidence is telling you to choose other options. Another thing you can do to help is”start by taking the kids .vs.plastic pledge to show you care about the problem”(“Plastic pollution”) This piece of evidence is saying you can take easy steps just to show you care.If you help with this problem by 3000 we will still have great non sickfish. we do not need plastic in our oceans.

Senator Stabenow,I Know you love to see the oceans just as much as I do.We love to go see the oceans on vacation to see the pretty marine life. And we love looking through the crystal clear water so clear you can see the fish.but what if all the fish die of plastic pollution because of us.What if newer generations cant see are beautiful oceans full of fish. This is why you need to make legislation about our oceans, for example banning plastic products such as straws and other plastic items that may end up in our oceans.
