1) According to an article in National Education Association [NEA] (n.d.), graduation dropout should be set as a priority within the education system. Recent research shows optimistic data which reveals that more high school students are graduating. However, the education system should continue to work together regarding a solution to this issue.
2) The National Education Association [NEA] (n.d.), explains how Congress is concerned about each students nutrition; therefore the renewal of the Healthy Hunger Free Act is in process.

There are solutions to fight hunger among students, for example, provide healthy opportunities during school, as well as, after school.

1) According to Paterson (2018), schools tend to focus on students who are considered gifted, however that very same student might have a learning disability. Paterson explains how these types of students are called “twice exceptional” (2018). However, even though these students are high-achievers, they should not be overlooked by teachers.
2) According to an article by Riddell (2018), students should not only be taught to succeed academically, but socially and emotionally as well. By focusing on the students well-being overall, they will learn how to be a successful part of their communities future.

1) According to LoMonte (2018), today’s schools are in danger due to outdated Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) laws, which were created in 1974 to protect students and schools against law enforcement. However, there is concern that FERPA is being misinterpreted, which creates a cause for concern with our student’s safety.
2) According to Burnette II (2018), policy lawmakers are focusing on education laws as the political elections begin for three-fourths of the states. Therefore, these lawmakers will concentrate on educational funding regarding a schools test scores and ranking.

Response to Intervention (RTI) is a strategy which is implemented during the school day within a specific time period. This approach is used with those students who are considered At-Risk of failing. According to Dickman (2006), “The success of RTI depends on the timely delivery of research-based instruction by highly qualified instructors.” According to Austin, Vaughn, & McClelland (2017), first, this topic is necessary due to legalities which surround the concept of lowering the high school dropout rate. Next, this topic is important ethically concerning reaching those students who fall in the category of being at risk for a variety of reasons, for example ones socio-economic status.
