Mental illness is a product of creativity and trauma. Only the most successful people have the capacity of creativity that can be seen and deemed useful. It's a curse that is beaten out of you if not put to work, but it's the greatest asset we hold in the hierarchy of values. Even the greatest artists live depressing lives, becoming generals of war, being shamed without understanding, even billionaires.
