         <description><![CDATA[<div>Our county bought subscriptions to DE which enabled all Lighthouse schools to get a DE coach in the building three to four times a month.  The coach worked with teachers individually or in small groups to teach new tech skills, co-teach to assist teachers learning a new instructional strategy, observe and assist with Professional Learning.</div>]]></description>

         <title>Saturday Planning</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>One Saturday a month the three Lighthouse high schools would plan to hold a half day planning session. The teachers could choose to work alone or with other teachers from different schools to plan and map out units of study for students. Two thirty minute PD sessions were offered for teachers each month. Topics were chosen by the attending staff and the STAT teachers would facilitate a discussion with the teachers that were interested in the chosen topic.  Teachers who attended were compensated with a stipend.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Drop In Professional Development happened twice a month during all lunch shifts and after school for teachers to drop in and learn something new.&nbsp; Some of the new learning was aligned to WICORTS planning, questioning, ClassFlow, MS 365, OneNote, BCPSONE (our counties database of tech tools), formative assessment, etc.&nbsp; Teachers who attended also got to enjoy a different DIP every session.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

A monthly calendar was setup next to our sign-in sheet for staff members to sign up for a day and time when they felt like they were doing something that would benefits others observing.  Examples included peer tutoring, a museum gallery walk,  The Dating Game, Socratic Seminars,  lesson closures, etc</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>At the beginning of the year, we decided to gamify our Professional Learning, after a hit show, A Game of Thrones.  Teachers would tweet or email the STAT teacher a picture of one of the activities mentioned in the word document below.  Points were recorded on a digital scoreboard and at the end of the quarter, the team with the highest number of points won a free lunch.</div>]]></description>
