In the TEAPOT network, artists and teachers have the opportunity to present their work, connect with each other, exchange ideas and collaborate. Each teacher can approach one or more artists and vice versa and together they can design and implement innovative language teaching practices using the arts.

Dear Teapotters,

I'm Marie-Anne, English and French teacher from Bordeaux. I teach at a vocational school to kids aged between 14 and twentyish. I'm also the school international project manager. Quite an official title which in reality involves a couple of highly motivated and polyglot workmates who are always on the look out for projects and partnerships to boost our students and improve our teaching practices. We are currently shaping up a pre-Erasmus programme towards our Costumers and Users Reception and Service students, which hopefully will be starting next school year. Among other things we are looking for schools who would be willing to exchange ideas and projects. Our Erasmus would also include prospective 4-week placements for our senior cycle students somewhere in a European country where English is commonly used as a media and networking second language.

I work with language training centres and individuals to help them improve and perfect their English skills in a relaxed and supportive environment. To make learning more engaging, I use various media such as drawings, stories, and videos, and I customize my lessons to suit my students' goals and needs.

Before starting my teaching career, I had the privilege of living and working in the UK for five years. During that time, I gained experience in the catering, events, and radio industries.

Aside from teaching English, I also work as a freelance graphic designer and illustrator. I create posters, flyers, and logos for music event promoters and record labels.
