The weather in chapter 6 of the story was rain with pink clouds over the sea. "'Come here quick!' cried Daisy at the window. The rain was still falling, but the darkness had parted in the west, and there was a pink and golden billow of foamy clouds above the sea. 'Look at that,' she whispered, and then after a moment: 'I'd like to just get one of those pink clouds and put you in it and push you around'" (99). The pink clouds could symbolize seeing brightness in the dark or seeing hopes.

It is raining while Nick and Gatsby are in a room together. The atmosphere is tense. The rain then subsides as Daisy and Gatsby are together. “After half an hour, the sun shone again…” (Fitzgerald 88) This symbolizes Gatsby's mood being lifted when he is around Daisy. At the very end of the chapter, the rain begins again.

The weather was hot that day when Nick visited the Valley of Ashes. Shows that the mood is carefree for the characters and it was just a regular day at work. This is important later in this chapter as the characters went to a party. Myrtle, Tom and Nick.

The weather in the book, The Great Gatsby, conveys the characters emotions and feelings. The setting starts in early summer: "And so it happened on a warm windy evening I drove over to East Egg to see two old friends whom I scarcely knew at all" (chpt. 1). This relates to Nick's emotions because he is happy to see his old friends (warm) but nervous too (windy).

It is pouring rain outside because Gatsby has just seen Daisy for the first time in a very long time and he is confessing his emotions to her, however it ends up being very awkward and anti-climactic.

The weather was rainy, but it cleared towards the end of the day. Plays an essential mood because it showcases Gatsby's parties. How luxurious and big it is. It improves the atmosphere and makes the party more joyous. This is the first time Gatsby appears in the book.
