I am not here to write a sixty-word essay nor I am here to ask for another extension. I am simply here to tell you that you have been a remarkable teacher through and through! You have undoubtedly been an inspiring teacher to all of us, molding us into individuals we never imagined we could become. And, because of you, Sir Betonio, you have instilled in us the lessons that we will never forget.

Yes, GE 1106 may be exhausting, but it also changed us for the better. From being scared and timid during presentations in the earlier weeks of classes to becoming confident public speakers––to the point where everyone volunteered to present––as the days went by, you, Sir, were the reason for it.

Our classes may have ended, but we will never forget the reflections and learnings we gained from your class. For sure, we will pass on what we have learned in this class in our future endeavors. I hope you're as proud of us as we are of you, Sir! Thank you for everything. 16-015A loves you! ♡

I deeply appreciate your patience and efforts throughout the semester. because of your class, I was able to freely speak about my experiences and aspirations - whether it was through our weekly daigler outputs or the oral recitations. Your style of teaching has allowed me to grow and gain confidence. Every perfect score I got made me feel a sense of fulfillment, and because of that, I thank you for helping me challenge myself to do my best every single time. 🤍 I am beyond grateful to have you as my professor for this subject. Despite initially having negative thoughts about this subject, because im afraid of public speaking, I have realized that Purposive Communication has really helped me take my public speaking skills to another level. With you as our teacher, you made the subject really educative and helped us develop our communication skills. Your dedication and hardwork to this subject has really helped alot of students in becoming better speakers. We really appreciate the time you take in listening to what each of us have to say and I greatly admire you for that. I want to express ✍🏻 my gratitude 🙏🏼 for your guidance 🗺️ throughout my purposive communication journey 🔎! I believe that you did a great job with your approach. The subject was not easy 😭; it was for sure exhausting, especially for me, who hated public speaking ❌, but it changed how I viewed things and helped me improve as a speaker 💡! I still have a lot of things to improve on myself, but this subject became a source of motivation for me 💪🏼! Hopefully, years from now, I'll be as great as you and my block mates 🌻.

With that, my classmates and I were lucky to be under your guidance and very thankful to be a part of your class 👨🏻‍🏫. I want to start by saying how much I respect you—not just as a teacher, but as someone who is truly passionate about what they do. Even though you're a man of few words I’ve learned so much, not just about public speaking, but also about myself.

To be honest, your presence in class can sometimes make me anxious, but it’s the kind of anxiety I’m strangely grateful for. It pushed me to be more mindful of my mistakes and prepared me to face situations with accountability and confidence. Your teaching style might not be the ideal for everyone, even for me, but it brought me to talk about topics I never expected to talk about, and I appreciate that

Purposive Communication might not be my favorite subject, but it’s definitely one of the most important ones. And I’m happy, even proud, that you were the one who taught us. Your approach taught me to be mindful of how I say things and how some things can be said within just 60 words.
