Is there a way for the comments we write on the assignments (in the comment section) in canvas gradebook to populate in the Powerschool "Comment" section?

If the assignment is missing in Canvas AND Canvas gradebook, WHY does that "Missing", "Late" flag NOT carry over to powerschool gradebook? Can we make this happen?

Is there a way for Canvas to have a description of the assignment that also populates the description of the assignment in powerschool? I am really not liking doing double the work.

Can we streamline some of the features to turning in an assignment? It takes anywhere from 4 to 8 clicks for a student to turn in an assignment through Canvas, Google classroom it is 2. Even the kids get frustrated with the multi-steps involved just to turn in an assignment. This does not even add to the frustration of students actually doing the assignment.
Not to mention the multiple click to grade it on the teacher end.

Is there a way to make default grading a certain number when making and using the Quiz(s) in Canvas? Again, doing more work manually overriding something that should be making teaching easier.

Questions to possibly push up to Canvas

Some things I have noticed that I would love to have answers on. First, I second Scott's question. Is Canvas looking at a way to have assignments that aren't assigned to everyone sync to PowerSchool (do they sync if only assigned to one section? I haven't played with this part so far)? Is there a way that Moore County Schools, or can it be pushed up to the state/canvas, to make the codes different so all the PowerSchool classes with the same code (all blocks of my 8th grade social studies) don't end up in the same Canvas course? My mind gets overloaded trying to assign different things to different classes all in the same course when they are at different points or with the hybrid schedule when I need them to do certain topics face to face so A and B students wouldn't get the same assignments (hopefully we won't have to worry about this next year but I would like to be prepared in case for the future.).

I would love to know how to create, as well as just understanding how it works from the students' points of view, so that I can talk intelligently about it to parents (and translate what kids tell me when they can't find their assignments to do them). I am enrolled in the Canvas Training-Just the Basics course in Canvas (ed cloud) and that is definitely not going to cut it. Thank you for your help!

Can we start from the beginning? I've poked around on the site... but am confused where to start. What do all the headings mean? It seems like there's multiple ways to post things? What do the kids see on their screen? Is there a way to post a link for just a day's lesson? Or just a reminder message to all students? To the schools that have already implemented- what have been the biggest issues so far and how can we overcome them?
