My favourite artist is an outstanding graffitist called Banksy.
I’ve chosen this artist because nobody knows who he is in fact. His identity remains a mystery. It seems he is from Bristol and some people say he is between 30-40 years old.

Banksy's artwork is characterized by striking images, often combined with slogans. His main themes are: politics, critiquing war, capitalism, hypocrisy and greed. Common subjects include rats, apes, policemen, members of the royal family, and children. In addition to his two-dimensional work, Banksy is known for his installation artwork. One of the most celebrated of these pieces, which featured a live elephant painted with a Victorian wallpaper pattern, sparked controversy among animal rights activists.
Works by Banksy can be seen in Bristol, New York, Utah and Paris.
I think Banksy is one of the most original, contemporary artists at this time. I look up to him because he uses art to make people think about social issues with a controversial message.

Marilyn Monroe, the best actress

Norma Jeane Mortenson was born on June 1^st 1926, in Los Angeles (California) and died on August 4^th 1962, Los Angeles.

She was an American actress, famous for playing comedic “Blonde Bombshell” characters. She became one of most popular sex symbols of the 1950s and 1960s.

The history of marriages of Marilyn wans’t very happy, none of her husbands could understand the actress.

She first married her 21 years old neighbor Jimmy Dougherty on June 19^th 1942 and they divorced in June 1949. She married again on January 14^th 1954 with Joe DiMaggro, but this couple divorced on October 27^th 1954. The third and last time that she married was with Arthur Miller on June 29^th 1956 and they split up on January 20^th 1961.

Monroe died between 8:30 and 10:30 pm on August 4^th 1962. The cause of her death was acute barbiturate poisoning. Some people think that she was killed, but others believe she comitted suicide.

Why Marilyn was so famous? Some people think she was sexy and beautiful, and others because she was funny, but in our opinion, she was so famous for both reasons.

Her most famous song and film was “Diamonds are a Girl’s best friend” and “Some like it hot”.

Britney Spears is a singer, dancer, actress, composer, model and a fashion designer.

She was born in Mississippi, EEUU on 2nd December 1981. She studied at M408 Professional Performing Art High School and at Parklane Academy. When she was younger she always dreamt of being a famous singer, and when she was 8, she went to a contest of singers, even though she didn’t win, she became really famous. And when she was 15 she released her first song called ‘’Baby One More Time’’.

She released her third album called “I’m a slave 4 u” and made his film debut as a protagonist in the film Crossroad“ (2002). She acted in different films like “Jane the virgin”, “I’m a Britney Jean” too, and has popular songs like “Toxic”, “Baby one more time'' or “Oops!…I Did It Again”.

In her free time she likes to visit websites where her fans write about her because she wants to know what people think about her. She likes to play Pokemon Go and likes cooking too.

By January 2004, Spears appeared to be rebelling again—this time, against her intense work schedule. She married her childhood friend Jason Alexander in Las Vegas, but the union was annulled two days later. She then got involved with backup dancer Kevin Federline. Spears' relationship with Federline only intensified with the media's scrutiny of her private life.

Leonardo was born in Italy, ser Pietro and a peasant gire Caterina was born in Vinci , Italy, just outside Florence.

Leonardo lived in the parental home. However, he was never recognized as a legitimate son by his father. Leonardo education was precisely in the Florentine municipality of Vinci.

He learned the basic knowledge of reading, writing and arithmetic.

Davinci was an artist and engineer who is best known for his paintings.

He was very interested in botany and human anatomy. We know of his skills as a painter and even his reputation for leaving projects unfinished.

He had no last name. Many of us refer to him as "da Vinci" and the reality is that the artist did not have a last name and he was left-handed.

Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, The Russian Composer

Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky was a Russian composer of the Romantic period. He was the first Russian composer whose music would make a lasting impression internationally.

His most popular pieces are the ballets Swan Lake and The Nutcracker.

In his childhood Tchaikovsky was educated for a career as a public servant as there was little opportunity for a musical career in Russia at the time. When an opportunity for such an education arose ,he entered the rising Saint Petersburg Conservatory, in which he graduated in 1865.

Despite his many successes, Tchaikovsky’s life was punctuated by personal crises and depression. Contributor factors included his early separation from his mother for boarding school followed by his mother’s early death, the death of his close friend and colleague Nikolai Rubinstein, his failed marriage with Antonina Miliukova, and the collapse of his 13-year association with the wealthy patroness Nadezhda von Meck.

Tchaikovsky’s sudden death at the age of 53 is generally ascribed to cholera, but there is an on going debate as to whether cholera was the indeed cause and if the death was accidental or not.

Swan Lake is a ballet composed by Russian composer Tchaikovsky in 1875-6.Despite its initial failure, it is now one of the most popular ballets of all time.

The scenario ,initially in two acts, was fashioned from Russian and German folktales and tells the story of Odete ,a princess turned into a swan by an evil sorcerer’s curse.

The Nutcracker is an 1892 two-act ballet originally choreographed by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov with a score by Tchaikovsky.

Although the original production was not a success ,the 20-minute suite that Tchaikovsky extracted from the ballet was and the complete Nutcracker has enjoyed enormous popularity since the late 1960s.

He graduated from Montclair College Preparatory School. He was regarded as a British media genius.

Michael Jackson enjoyed martial arts, and was a black belt in karate. He appeared in thirteen movies, for exemple "Men in Black II" and "The Wiz". He was a collectionist of painyings and sculptures.

Michael Jackson was a singer, songwriter, dancer and philanthropist. He was dubbed "King of Pop". He popularized complicated dance moves such as the "Moonwalk".

His most famous songs are "Thriller" with 4.000 million views around the world and "Beat it" with 884 millions of views on YouTube.

The "Dangerous Tour" was the second world concert tour by Michael Jackson to promote his eight studio album called "Dangerous". It began in Munich, Germany, on June 27, 1992, and concluded in Mexico City, Mexico, on November 11, 1993.

Jackson died from cardiac arrest, on June 25, 2009, Caused by a propofol and benzodiapine overdose.

Willard Carroll Smith is an American actor, better known as Will Smith.

He is also known as a comedian, rapper, film producer, and record producer.

He has won an Oscar, four Grammy Awards and has been nomitated for the Golden Globe Award four times. In the late eightties he rose to fame as a rapper under the name “The Fresh Prince”. In the nineties his fame as an actor increased thanks to the series he starred in. The Fresh Prince of Bel -air

In the mid-1990s, he transitioned from television to film, starring in numerous blockbuster films.

.IN 2007 received a special award for his contribution to music within the cinema at the Principal Awards Gala.

In 2013,he acquired the rights for the United Statel in the “El Hormiguero” , program.

Forbes considers him the most bankable star in the world despite the box office and critical disappointment of his 2013 film, After Earth.

Of the 20 fiction films in which he has acted worldwide, sixteen have accumulated earnings of more than $100 million each, and five of them earned more than $500 million, worldwide box office receipts. As of 2014, his film have grossed $600 millon at the worldwide box office.

Will Smith attended our Lady of Lourdes, a private Catholic elementary school in Philadelphia, and Overbrook High School.

He started rapping at the age of 12, Smith has recounted that his grandmother found a notebook with his lyrics, described as containing “all swear words”, she wrote him a note on a page of the book: “Dear Willard, truly intelligent people don,t have to use words like “You,re here to express yourself. It is well- known that Smith rose to fame thanks to being the chop from a neighborhood called Bel-Air. The actor, who in the early 90s stood out as one of the best rappers in the United States along with DJ Jazzy Jeff, won the hearts of the audience thanks to a decade of laughs on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

Freddie Mercury is a Vocalist, musician and composer who was known internationally as leader of, Queen, a British rock band that enjoyed overwhelming success during the 1970s and 1980s taking over from legendary groups like the beatles and the rolling stones.

Regarded as one of the greatest singers in the history of rock music, he was known for his flamboyant stage persona and four-octave vocal range. Mercury defied the conventions of a rock frontman with his theatrical style, influencing the artistic direction of Queen.

He was born on 23rd April 1775 in London, in England.
Education: He was a prodigy child who became a star of British art. Turner studied at the Royal Academy schools when he was 14.

Interests: Obviously, his interests were painting pictures of Romanticism and the genders he drew were: seascapes, history and landscape painting.

Type of artist: Joseph was a painter who, as we said, drew in the Romanticism period that is the XIX century. Many people think that his landscapes could be seen abstract.
Example of work: His work is considered a romantic preface to impressionism. One of the most popular works of Turner is: Snowstorm.

Exhibitions: At Tate Britain, the entire bequest; most of which is now housed in The Clore Gallery at Tate Britain. Comprises nearly 300 oil paintings and around 30.000 sketches and watercolours, including 300 sketchbooks.

Why did we choose him?:
We chose Turner because we asked a person who is studying art and he recommended him to us. We also liked him because his paintings make a great use of light, colours and blur.
