In the beginning, There was only an endless sea and a boundless sky. Which were inhabited by two gods, one ruled the water and the other was lord of the skies.

These two deities bore children, the sea, and the wind. One day these two wed and from their union came four children:

one of copper (The Moon),
one of rock (Earth),
one of gold (The Sun),
and one of silver (The Stars)

One day the wind died and his power transferred over to his oldest son the god made of earth and stone. His son's aggressive nature and sudden new power caused him to lust for more power. After coercing his brothers into a plot to overthrow the sky, his grandfather killed them all in a fit of rage; One was melted, the other crumbled, and the final one ignited into flame. After a while the poor silver goddess was worried about her brothers and went out to look for them, the sky jumped to conclusions and assumed that she was with her brothers and struck her with lightning shattering her into billions of pieces.

Feeling horrendously guilty, The lord of the sky memorialized all but the greedy rock god and the others became The moon, The sun, and The Stars respectively. still feeling bad the Great God of the Sky granted the fallen treacherous god with a seed which bore grass, the animals, and mankind.

Death seems to hold a lot of value in this mythos, even gods are not immortal or everlasting and cannot return life to what has already departed and so they are capable of grieving over those who’ve they lost and tempering their punishments to stop them from being fatal as shown when smiting a human.

Humans being born from the inside of a bamboo shoot might seem stranger however, when see that bamboo symbolizes strength, flexibility and growth the whole senario appears much more endearing.
