The coastline of County Antrim in Northern Ireland is renowned for its scenic beauty, possibly the worlds best driving routes, the Causeway Coast Route. The Giant’s Causeway, sitting at the northern end, takes centrepiece as the crown’s unique jewel, known as the 8th Wonder of the World to many here in Ireland and beyond. The famous 40,000 neatly packed columns of hexagonal volcanic basalt columns were created some 6 million years ago by a basaltic lava flow.

The Giant’s Causeway is a place where myth and science meet. Were the spectacular basalt columns formed through the rapid cooling of lava from an underwater volcano, or, as some may say, created by the legendary mythical Irish Giant Finn MacCool?

On the beaches of vaadooh island in the maldives reef, a beautiful phenomenon called "sea of stars" occurs, the surreal scene does not occur by magic but by plankton that has become enveloped in glowing to distract fish and other potential predators, this bioluminescent plankton and the movement of the waves causes it to glow making it appear as if stars have somehow found their way to land at night.
In other words, the sea is litterally a mirror of the sky
This glowing water occurs on many islands and places in the world but is extraordinarily prominent on the island of vadooh which has only a small population, as if the island was chosen for the stars to rest; really who wouldn't want to rest in the maldives?

This place is called Pamukkale ("Cotton Castle"), in Turkish. It is a notable UNESCO World Heritage Site and it is located in Denizli in Turkey.
It is a set of natural, thermal pools, of limestone origin and travertine that also includes the ancient ruins of Hierapolis.
The formation of Pamukkale is due to the hot thermal spots under the mound that cause calcium carbonate to spill, which then solidifies into travertine marble.

The Bamboo Forest is situated northwest of kyoto in Japan near the Tenryu-ji temple in the Arashiyama district.
The forest consists mostly of Moso Bamboo(a temperate species of giant timber bamboo) and several pathways for tourists and visitors.
A few years ago, the Ministry of Environment inclued the Sagano Bamboo Forest on the list of "100soudscapes of Japan"- a selection of everyday noises intended to encourage locals to stop and enjoy nature's music.

The Chocolate Hills are located on Bohol Island in the Philippines. They are about 1,300 similarly sized conical-shaped mountains that occupy an area of 50 km².

The origin of this unusual geological formation is uncertain. Experts are divided into two opinions: the hills have been shaped by the action of winds over millions of years, or they are the result of a sub-oceanic volcanic phenomenon. There are also several legends to explain the formation of the site. One of them tells that the cones are actually the dried tears of an immortal giant named Arogo, which were shed because of the death of his beloved.

The Chocolate Hills are the most popular tourist attraction on Bohol Island and are on the negotiating list to become a member of UNESCO's list of World Heritage Sites, due to their unique aesthetic and geological value worldwide.
The hills resemble chocolate cones, especially in the winter period when the dried grass covering the cones takes on a shade of brown and is called Chocolate hills.

Accurate records of how the crater ignited have not been discovered, and some facts are disputed. One of the theories for the creation of this crater is that in 1971, several Soviet geologists were drilling in the Karakum desert in order to find oil.

In this, they came across a natural gas reserve that caused the earth to collapse, forming three large sinks.

To prevent the methane from being released into the atmosphere, one theory suggests that geologists set fire to one of the sinks, thinking it would burn in a matter of weeks, but in fact the hole still burns to this day.

The "Hand of the Desert" is an over-sized sculpture made by the Chilean Mario Irarrázabal, in Antofagasta, Chile; it was built in 1992, financed by a local booster organization called Corporación Pro Antofagasta and it has over 11 meters, symbolizing the injustices, human rights violations, torture and trauma Chileans have suffered.
There is actually a right hand as well, in Uruguay, that Irarrázabal sculpted a decade earlier; this man also has some others over-sized sculptures, exploring the same idea, like the "Monument of the Drowned".

This place is currently the most completed ecosystem that can be found with 260 kinds of birds and 399 kinds of wild animals.
A curiosity is that the plant "Sueda" is on of the few species that survives in highly alkaline soil and it's growth cycle begins in April when it is colored light red, while the color of the mature species is deep red.

The glass beach already tells us by it´s name that it is a beach made out of glass, but how is that? It´s located in California in Fort Bragg near by San Fransisco, and even though it´s a beautiful beach, it has a really sad history, until the 1960s, without the law that prohibits throwing garbage into the sea, people would throw their glass bottles in the water, and with this, the beach became polluted.
Nowadays the glass of the bottles is being transformed by the waves of the sea into glass shells.
There are a lot of other beachs like this but this one is the biggest.
