more popular books, geared toward students. create a collection for them.

Create a space that's mentally healthy for them.

  • The library will hire a full time event planner to schedule internal and external groups to utilize the library space for either academic or personal events like weddings. The external non-academic events will have associated costs that go towards fundraising.
  • Celebrating work accomplishments in order to work toward dismantling toxic workplace culture. Build people up!
  • Improve the information desk's design and services so the campus community sees the library as a place to go for everything.
  • Add. Color. To. The. Library. Collaborate with Art Department to feed students' creative sides in addition to their brains: invite students to create art (painting, photography, writing) and showcase in the library space.  Have art contests.
  • The library will reach students by leading the First Semester Transition course including having librarians and staff teach this course.
  • The MakerLab will include a space for students to create their own podcasts.
  • The library will enhance outreach and engagement to provide dynamic programming to faculty, students, staff, and the community.
