She is very strong in math, but because I couldn't understand the way that the teacher explained it in class and I couldn't follow my moms instruction, we would end up in a fight and I would be very frustrated.
2) Math tastes like cilantro. I hate cilantro and I can always taste it in food. Even today when I am working through problems that horrible feeling bubbles up inside me again.

math reminds me of the many tutors I had throughout grade 3-grade 12. It was always something I struggled with, and my parents got frustrated with trying to help me as I was always so negative and stubborn when it was time to sit down and do math homework.

 brussel sprouts because as a child I hated when my parents made brussel sprouts but now that I have gotten older and have found different ways to cook brussel sprouts how I like them - they aren't so bad. Is that a word? I don't know. But, there's areas in math that I was super good in, the times tables, numerical values, adding, subtracting... I would kill it on those but then there were those subjects, like geometry and shapes, that I hated and never understood. Really, a love/hate relationship.

My whole student career I have experienced math anxiety and the absolute fear of being made to look dumb in front of my peers. I have always hated how there is one answer in math, as that means there is a strong chance of being wrong. .

Math reminds me of... being put on the spot. Growing up in elementary and high school when doing math we would often be put on the spot even when we didn't want to say the answer and it was embarrassing if we got it wrong. It was traumatizing and I hated math for it.
