A call to adventure is when you get called to go on a quest you've never been on. At first, you usually deny it, but your senses will come to you over time, and you will learn to take on the quest.

My call to adventure is when I had to get up for the first day of high school. My alarm went off, but i kept it on snooze, because I was not ready to take on the day. Sooner or later I knew i had to get up at some point, so I did. And that's when I started my new adventure.

The hero is the person that goes on the quests and faces hardships throughout the journey, but ends up surviving the quest with great pride.

In high school, you have to be not only a hero to yourself, but to your peers. You have to show that no matter what you will get through your quest and face the toughest of the tough to get where you need to be to graduate high school.

The Abyss is the darkest part of the hero's journey. This is where they face the hardest parts of the quest, and sometimes they don't make it. They must try their hardest to defeat whatever is in their way.

The "abyss" I went through in first semester was trying to maintain all my grades and sometimes receiving poor grades on tests. Maintaining good grades is very hard for me, but I had to try my hardest to get through it.

Percy Jackson's Call to Adventure

Percy Jackson gets called to adventure when he finds out Hades has kept his mom in the underworld. Percy doesn't have the lightning bolt he needs to get to the underworld, but he knows he needs to save his mother.
