For example during the Marion murder scene the score starts with this almost waiting and expecting sound then right as the sheet is pulled almost screeches or screams are heard to fit this brutal abrupt assault by the mother. This scene is mostly memorable because of this unique score that's adds this unique layer of freighting auditory horror. 

2: The locations used in this movie add a layer of horror that makes this ever lasting feeling of uneasiness the entire time the movie progress's. The unsettling ride after the police stops Marion going through deserts makes Marion start to look extremely paranoid. Shes looking around shes scared she doesn't want to get caught as she creates distance from this cop. Then the desolate motel off the interstate that Marion gets to, in itself is a solitary area.

3: Death is a powerful foreshadowing tool in this movie in ways that make this an extremely interesting horror film. In the scene between Marion and Norman Bates when they are eating supper. The room is covered with many birds all stuffed in very peculiar manners that almost look like they are about to attack. Norman as he switches from talking about these stuffed birds filling his time he gets angry yet complacent over the horrible things his-mother as done to him. This complacently of his mom and his comfortably around death via the stuffed birds. Helps foreshadow the death of Marion and how with these people she wont find any help from them, that they will just try to hide her away after shes dead.

She is the one escaping for her own nightmare of escaping from the law and then to navigating around the weird vibe of the bates motel. She also conforms to many of the tropes of a final girl when she is dealing with her eventual killer. 

-In the beginning of the film we see her just after apparently having sexual relations with that man (Sam). Yet after that we see that she didn't do any drugs even when offered and she technically never said to anyone she would be right back therefore fallowing 2/3 of the rules of a final girl.

-She was in general a wholesomeish character. Yes she did take the money from the buyer in the beginning yet it was for the man she loved. Along with the guy who posted that money being an absolute creep and not a good person to Marion or her colleagues. This idea of doing something for the sake of others is a common trope of final girls in horror. You would think that sound of the thing that is about to attack a character would be loud. Yet they use the absence of any sound other than the main character on screen to build the suspense. So when finally the baddie jumps out the sudden burst of sound and then the menacing score really gives you the creeps and makes your heart race. This is especially shown in both the crooked man attacks. 

-Color is a big element of horror used as the entire movie progresses. So in the beginning of the movie all of the colors are quite bright or more just natural tones. They really create this illusion of security. Yet as the movie goes through its course and the characters are tormented more and more as the demon gets more and more powerful the color is drained from the film. It starts storming more and looking gloomy. The charecters are wearing more monotone darker toned clothes. It almost looks like a color filter  is making the movie more darker and almost blueish to represent evil coming and all of the pain and sadness that comes along. This also is backed up for when after they send the demon back to hell the color pallet begins to lighten up more and use more colors again. 

-Religion and supernatural themes are elements of horror that add that extra layer that gets you freaked out. The main baddie itself is a distorted awful nun that usually are these helpful caring people. Which contrasts a lot to this tormenthig evil character thus creating this extra wrong feeling when dealing with this demon. Also the demon having such control over the world around the characters being able to throw extremely heavy things, contort and shift the girls body in extremely unnatural ways as it posses it, and creating visual hallucinations that drive the characters mad. Along with the symbols of religion like a cross being abused by this demon to really set the viewer out of their comfort zone. Also she tries to have the most rational and controlled responses to the things that the demon is doing to this family. Along with her doing everything in her power to make sure the people she loves doesn't get hurt these qualities creates a drive for her to make it out of this scenrio. 

-In the conjuring 2 Lorraine pretty strictly fallows the rules of being a final girl. Not one time in the movie did she have sex. She didn't explicity drink nor smoke through the entire film. Along with her even being against people going alone and saying that they will be back. 

-I don't think she necessarily is my favorite character that is a final girl she mostly is my favorite final girl for how she is a final girl. She makes it out of this deadly scenario not because she didn't have sex or break the rules of final girling. She made it out because she had the power too. She knew her husbands life was going to be a bettering point, she knew she needed to save this girl. Not one thing through this movie stopped her from reaching this goal. Even when she was pinned against a wall with demon magic instead of running or cowering she stood her ground and figured out the way to cast away this demon. It takes the idea of vampires planting themselves in society in such a goofy fun way that you can't stop smiling and laughing. As its mostly a spoof of the horror genre it doesn't really try and scare you, yet at times for the sake of the joke it does and those few times are really well done. I think I like it so much due to its kinda lighthearted approach to horror. It uses its concepts and themes to make a really cool setting for this mock-u-mentary that just shows the daily life of a house of vampires and there estranged familiar Guillermo. The entire plot line that Guillermo comes from a bloodline of vampire slayers and keeps killing vampires on accident when he wants to become one is so ironic it hurts.

Along with a lot of this show also being set in the night making it quite gloomy and dark

-Death is also a very common occurrence in this show. Either from the dead people that Guillermo sometimes has to clean up after the vampires have eaten. Or the vampires Guillermo himself cleans up. At least once every few episodes death is a prominent idea that's represented. Like how death was pretty constant in the other bits of media.

-A power divide is also a constant struggle in this show. In Nosferatu it was Orlock and hotter, Transylvania it was Drac and Johhny, in this case its Guillermo against all the vampries. They all have magic, the avvlity to transform into bats, along with being immortal. Guillermo is just a guy who's descent with vampire murder weapons.
