ACDC - High Voltage

ACDC are an Australian Rock Band. I have been looking at their Digipak as research.

The image in the centre of the digipak is of a school boy, posing with a guitar. This boy is also featured on the actual CD. Other images on the digipak consist of live performances; geoup and individual shots. There's also edits of a cartoon lightning bolt.

There's quite a bit of synergy between their products. A lot of their music videos are actually live performances, but the logo that they show on the screens are the same as the one on the front of the digipak. The uniform that the boy wears on the cover, is also printed on a t-shirt which is available from their online store.

The fonts that are used are very suitable to the genre. On the cover, the band's logo is used, as well as a lightning bolt font which is in black. I believe it's suitable as the album background is quite light. The text on the back of the digipak is relatively simple; a sans serif font, and again in black.

The colours that are used are suitable for the genre as they're quite simple. The orange also represents fire.

On both the front and back of the digipak , the text is a lot smaller in comparison to the photos. On the back, the song list only takes up 1/8 of the digipak. The rest of the space is full of photos of fanmail and of the band.

The ACDC digipak also has institutional information; such as they record label; sony, the producers, year of production, barcode and copyright.
