School.
Oh God, where do I start.
So, school started up again about a month ago. It was kinda sad to see summer go. I can feel it getting colder already. That's always the worst part. When it starts to get colder and you know that summers over.
The first week of school is always the craziest. People screaming "Oh, my gosh! I haven't seen you in literally forever!" (Note the Valley Girl voice) I mean, come on, it's been less then three months.
People breaking the school dress code, having leftover dyed hair, (not like i have a VERY NOTICEABLE BLUE STREAK IN MY HAIR or anything) complaining about homework on the fiRST DAY OF SCHOOL. Sorry. The first week is always the craziest because people are just getting back into the swing of things.
(Books are related to school right? good because omygod bOOOOOOOKS. So I started reading this book series called "Tomorrow Girls" and its a four book series (i started it in forth grade and never finished it) and I only had the first two books, so once I read them I was bookless (the worst thing possible) and so my dad took me and my brothers out to Barns & Nobles and they didn't have the book and so I asked if they had this one book called "The Gender Games" and they didn't have that but unlike "Tomorrow Girls" they had the ability to get it, so they called me when they got it, but when we were there, I got a book called "Before I Fall" and its SOOO GOOD. And then I ordered the third book online and IT CAME YESTERDAY (I send some pictures to my friend Hannah C. and she replied with "lol") But before that it was on Friday of last week I got a call saying they had my book called "The Gender Games" and OH MY GOD. So once I finish "Before I Fall" I will finish the "Tomorrow Girls" series amd then I'll read "The Gender Games" and yay!!!!")
Anyways, that's all for right now.
Stay Insane!
~Hannah Kinder

One . Third.
One Third.
One third of the school year is over. I'm not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing. I mean, I don't want this year to be over a) because next year I'll be a freshmen in high school (not looking forward to it) and b) because I want the warm, school-less summer.
But,
Dance started and this year we are dancing to Spanish songs, and the dance looks pretty good in my opinion but then again it's been choreographed by Savannah (a previous 8th grader) and it's AMAZING.
and basketball started and its amazing like always.
Oh, and drama. We are doing a play called 'The Two Dwarfs and Seven Whites' and I got the part of Bleached White. The airhead sister. -_-
I also joined Chess this year so that's always fun, and I'm on the Knowledge Bowl team.
...
I'm going to be running like a crazy person at LEST (Lutheran Elementary School Tournament).
Anyways, once again, I must rant about my books.
*inhales*
SO THERE'S THIS BOOK SERIES CALLED The Schools For Good and Evil AND IT WAS THREE BOOKS AND I READ IT IN 5TH GRADE AND THE AUTHOR WROTE ANOTHER ONE AND IM DYING BECAUSE I'M ALMOST DONE AND I NEED THE SECOND BOOK TO The Gender Game SERIES BECAUSE IT'S JUST OOOH MY GOD IT HOLY MOTHER OF PLOT TWISTS, I FINALLY READ IT AFTER I FINISHED THE Tomorrow Girl SERIES AND THE END WAS JUST AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH LORD HELP ME SO NOW I HAVE TO MAKE LESS THEN 68 PAGES IN The Schools For Good and Evil LAST FOR AT LEAST 3 MORE DAYS IM GOING TO DIE ALSO BECAUSE I DONT HAVE ANY OTHER BOOK SERIES TO READ WHILE I WAIT LIKE I DID LAST TIME AND AHHHHH.
Also, the AR (accelerated reader) point goal was 40, and I have 76.8 POINTS. (and I have quite a few less than good grades and my GPA is an 3.0 but you know that probably tells you where I spend all my time.
Anyways, BYE

Amazon Go

Well it's something, I'll give em' that.
So, Amazon Go is a grocery store, but, with a twist. This store is for people with the Amazon app. When you first go into the store, there's a row of gates that will only let you in if activated by the Amazon app on your phone. From then, when you'er shopping, every time you grab an item off a shelf, you'er Amazon app says the product is automatically put into the shopping cart of their online account. If you put the item back on the shelf, Amazon removes it from your virtual basket.
How, does this work exactly? Well, arrays of small cameras -hundreds of em' -track what on the shelves, when they leave the shelves they are automatically put into your 'cart', and then your app buys whatever you took off the shelves, and didnt put back -in the store when you walk back out of the gates you came in.
Amazon won’t say a lot about how the system works, other then to say it involves fancy and advanced (what's the word for that...?) computer vision and machine learning software. Translation: Amazon’s technology can see and identify every item in the store, without attaching a special, little chip to every can of soup and bag of trail mix.
