During the next days I hope I'll get to know how to use it properly, but so far I'm pretty content with our work. My team mates are great and I'm sure we'll do a fantastic job, we're getting along just fine. Looking forward to the next session to keep things going, see you on Thursday, everyone! Moreover, we were taught to do a project for the end of the term in which I will be in charge to collect the data of a research and expose it with a video (we'll be extremely creative). Then, we exposed our individual qualities and each one are different, that's why I think we'll be great. Let's take a deep breath and carry on step by step.

Keep up the good work BEM team!

This first session made me keep up with the good work, as I basically hadn't heard of anything we learnt in class before. For example, Padlet, and I must admit it was more challenging than I first thought it would be, but hopefully, we'll be on good terms soon! I already feel at ease adding this new entry.
Also, this technique of working in this project was also new to me and I felt out of my comfort zone. However, it's always refreshing to learn new ways of working and feel motivated by your team!

Last Thursday we worked twice as a team and also on our own, so we had a little bit of everything. In one of the exercises, where we had to share some thoughts on our homework, I got to realize how each person is used to different strategies when working. One of my colleagues used her phone to underline the texts and the other one preferred the laptop to do so, whereas I need to write everything down first, so I can shape it later into something meaningful. As I said to Abraham, I'm old-school! For me, these working strategies wouldn't be successful at all, and that is just fine, everyone functions in a different way. It is just like in the exercise where we wrote with both hands while listening to music; some people may find it more irritating than other, even getting to the point of giving up, and that was interesting.

Well, first task about the new project we have to develop this term with the Aronson jigsaw methodology. We split into the topic specialists group to talk about the answers of our 7 questions and discuss the topic. It was quite interesting because, individually, I am investigating about how age influences the acquisition of a SL. We all were so close in our responses and it is peacefully soothing to see that other people have similar answers than you have. After this, we came back to our team to expose our topic to our team and having deepen into our topic we are more confident defending it for the last task of our project. Moreover, we started reading the fourth point which deals the plurilinguistic law of our region to answer new questions. Waiting to meet again next Thursday!

Being as scatterbrained as I am, I was surprised how quickly I could catch up with the work of my expert team (because I'm always late for class, so I miss the first explanations). In addition, I usually prefer to have printed the papers I need to read thoroughly. That's why I found answering the questions of my topic more challenging, because I couldn't take notes as easily and thus, couldn't find the main ideas or the answers to discuss them with my expert teammates. Nevertheless, there are pdf programmes that allow you to write on the document and use a highlighter. That's what I used, but still, I couldn't write on the sides of the page, for example.

However, I found all this quite helpful to explain my topic to my Advisory Team. I found myself confindent with the knowledgeI acquired from the expert team and able to explain it to anybody else.

Afterwards, when anwering the questions about the Plurilingualism Valencian Act, I also found not being able to work on the document a discomfort. That means, the document could not be modified, so it was impossible to highlight the main ideas or the answers to the questions to remember in the future in which part of the Act we got the answer.

On our last class we were discussing the topics of the plurilingual law. I assume that this is going to be really useful for our future job, so I appreciate studying that. We also had a preview of what our schedule will be like during the next sessions, and that is so helpful too because in that way we can organize better. Moreover, we did some teamwork, creating the questionnaire that we will show in our big groups next week. That will be an interesting experience too, our colleagues sharing their thoughts on learning a foreign language, since they are not English students but come from different careers. I'm looking forward to it and I'm positive we will do a great job!

Newly, we met on Thursday to discuss about the plurilingual law in our region. Being honest, from my point of view it is difficult to memorize every single point, article and chapter from a law but I remember most of things since I did the work placement in a state founded school and I had to include this details in my final memories work. Nowadays, this is slightly different to my place now as I am working in a private school and we don't apply the law as we follow the British curriculum. We did a brief comment on each question we answered about the law and then we came back to prepare the instrument we will use to evaluate the efectiveness of our intervention as a foreign language teachers. As I belong to the Group E, I couldn't participate in the exposal of the questionnaire but I am lucky to have my partners, who are incredibly responsible and hard workers, and will do a great task.

I found quite interesting studying the Valencian plurilingual Act. Sharing it with the rest of the class helped to envision what we will face in the future in any State-funded school. Finally, we created the questionare our classmates will have to answer. Selecting the questions was challenging, as we had to be very careful with the way we conveyed our inquiries. I particularly thought making an unbiased questionaire was the most difficult, given the questions should be general, for any second language. I feel very confident in how we carried out the task and I'm looking forward to see the results!

To make it more interesting we gained some extra points for our final marks, so it was great! Our team didn't win but nevermind, we learned and scored some points, good job anyways. Moreover, we joined our original teams to work a little more on our questionnaire, think about the video project... That time was much needed too, so the overall sensation was a good one, we improved on many levels. Looking forward to the next session!

Then, I wasn't quite far from...Anyway, we did a competition matching the concepts with their definitions, and we earned a little points for our final grade, not too bad! Finally, we had time to work with our own group to set things in order to plan our first final project, the video. For me, it was not knowing the topic beforehand what made me nervous answering the questions, since believing you may know an answer could damage the team's score. At the end, we had a good time "competing", got to work in teams and learn in a different way, which I believe it is always welcome.

I am now with Tina and Sofía to develop the new project. First, we were remembering in a worksheet given the key concepts about the methods studied. Then, we put chronologically the methods we are going to apply in our session. When everything was settled, we were given a planning sheet to fill the objectives, activities, timing and resources we are going to need. It has been a busy week between the master's and work in the school, but I think we are doing quite well and I am learning a lot from my team.

Being challenged to compete with my classmates is always fun, unless it involves winning extra points for a project. While I usually enjoy this type of of games, I feel rather glad to compete in teams, as we can discuss our answers and that way if they are wrong, at east it wasn't entirely my fault, hehe. In addition, being able to dicuss the answers with the team makes you aware of other points of view, although we were very anxious and tried to reach a solution as fast as possible.

Despite all of this, I was relaxed and enjoyed the process of creating activities in a group for our Teaching me softly project. I believe this is the most fun part of teaching, -appart from the doing the activity and it being a succcess part-. I reckon the method we were given was quite challenging to do with grownups who already have a great level of English. However, I think we came up with a great idea that they will hopefully love.
