         <description><![CDATA[<div>The advantages of the design and use of these materials are that these materials are adapted to the needs of the students, an example of this is, the grade they are in, the age they are, and their preferences, in this way teachers can make the proper adjustments before making use of the materials so that students learn easily and feel motivated. On the other hand, these materials are adapted to the graded learning objectives and learning outcomes at the end of the course.&nbsp;<br>Among the disadvantages of designing materials for teaching English is that if the material is not updated, erroneous information may be given; moreover, when designing these materials, one must be very careful with the contents and messages to be transmitted, otherwise, there may be confusion among the students.<br><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The use of materials in the teaching of English as a foreign language can be one of the fundamental and significant strategies that teachers should implement in their classrooms in order to facilitate the learning process of their students. Thus, nowadays thanks to technology we can find a great variety of resources and materials that contribute considerably to the aforementioned processes. However, we must highlight the valuable importance of those materials that are designed and elaborated by the teacher and the students themselves, making it an enriching and novel learning and teaching experience, adapted to the needs of the educational context.<br>The learning and teaching of a foreign language has always been associated with the use of materials -mostly printed texts- since it has been proven that it allows to get closer not only to the language being studied but also to its culture.<br>Now, learning a foreign language is not the exclusive responsibility of a teacher; it is necessary to create environments that motivate the learner to use it.<br>The design and development of these resources or teaching aids is a practical and useful strategy in the long term, it is something that students can count on and have at their fingertips at any time, thus allowing their learning to be constant.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>There are many apps we can use to learn a language, in our case, English.<br>The first app is <strong><em>'Duolingo'</em></strong> in this app you can practice three skills since there are listening, writing, reading exercises, and also you can practice pronunciation.<br>The second app I use is <strong><em>'tandem'</em></strong> This app is really interesting because you can talk with people around the world in real time, for example, you can learn English by interacting with other people and also you can teach your native language.<br>Another app is '<strong><em>WordBox English'</em></strong>. This app helps us learn using sitcomes of famous series. There are exercises to complete sentences by listening and also pronunciation.<br><strong><em>Youtube</em></strong> serves like an app to learn English because you can watch videos in English and also tutorials about a topic that you don't understand about English.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The English teaching resources are intended to develop linguistic competence, facilitate contextualized learning, promote interaction and communication, improve motivation and interest, and support autonomous learning. These resources provide practical tools such as audio recordings, videos, pronunciation exercises, dialogues, authentic texts, interactive games, among others, that allow students to acquire language skills, practice in real situations, interact with others, and stabilize their motivation in their learning. . In addition, the English teaching resources also foster autonomy by giving students the ability to practice independently through exercise books, apps, and online resources. In summary, these resources play a fundamental role in the process of teaching and learning English, they will need the necessary tools for students to achieve their educational objectives in learning the language.</div>]]></description>

Since the learner uses both content and context to interpret and understand what they are reading, watching, or listening to, learners benefit from finding meaning from authentic cultural texts of various types with appropriate scaffolding and follow-up tasks that promote accurate interpretation.</div>]]></description>
