(Lionel) Pro 1- Services to an ageing population can be sustained when there are insufficient young people locally.

For example, in China, which has an ageing population, benefits from immigrants as they fill the roles the elderly can no longer provide for. In fact, China has implemented a law that allows seasoned professionals to enter the country easily. This thus conveys that immigration is beneficial as the younger migrants can contribute for the country more than the previous generation can as they are more physically able.

(Isaac) Introduction

Imagine that the world is just one huge advertisement. Turning to your left, you glance at a signboard blaring the words of a wily businessman. On your right, you see the words worthy of a politician plastered on a towering building. However, away from the grand facade, you find yourself still standing in the run-down slum, searching for ways to support your family. Suddenly, you lock eyes with a billboard with the magical words: immigration. A few days later, you arrive in your desired country, seeing the sprawling metropolis you expected. Sadly, you discover that you are again, standing in a poor, rundown slum again. Alas, thus is the vicious cycle of life. You have learnt the lesson that poverty is everywhere the hard way, now four hundred dollars poorer. Immigration has many benefits, but has just as many cons. There is the fact that immigrants increase the country's efficiency while helping the immigrants support their families whilst leading a better life. However, it is evident that they may overpopulate the country, causing a lack of jobs and housing.
