You need to bring a paper bag with disgusting meat, he does not want to do any of that. Even his friend is giving him a hard time. In the middle after lunch he meets up with his teacher from 3rd grade, 3rd grade angels he thought. He met with his friend after school and 2 little kids were on the swings,Joey pushed one of them off and asked suds to do the same thing. the kid already scurried off. Suds went home and went to take his bath. at diner his sister was making fun of suds because he was a rat now. she made faces,sang rat,rat,rat,rat and suds baby brother also started singing. Suds mom said stop but she didn't, Suds mom had enough and said if another comes out of your mouth you will be leaving the table. she started making faces instead. she left the table stomping off. Suds baby brother laughed all his food came out of his mouth and was flying every where, Suds left the table and didn't say a thing. In the beginning of what I've read so far is the a boy names Suds is in fourth grade and has to learn how to be a rat. So his friend Joey is trying Suds how to act like a rat. Joey told him what not to do or have, like a flyinf elephent lunch box. Or not to eat peanut butter and jelly anymore. Suds also had to learn how to be tough, and how to be mean to younger graders. At the end of the school day Suds went home and his mom asked him how his first day was, he said the worst first day ever. At the end of the chapters so far, Suds takes a bath and imagens what it would be like without all his toys. He starts to think if becoming a man you do have to work for it like Joey said. his mom calls him for dinner and he goes to dinner and his little sister is in her words 'treating him like a rat.' His little brother is mimicing her so, 'treatind him like a rat,' too. Then Suds can't take it anymore and leaves the kitchen. Suds's mom tells him to come back but he doesn't. That's the first time he didn't do what his mom said, he didn't say no like Joey said he needed to to become a rat. But he didn't say yes eather.

In the end they are sitting on they are sitting on the tire swings and Joey reminded what fourth grades did to them when they were little .
