He was a Duke grad, and studied the history of the African America Diaspora. I had difficulty connecting the dots and so I did not do well enough on my Senior Year final paper. 
I had to do summer school and write a new paper.  I worked so hard and she gave me a D- because she thought it was not my work.  
No matter how hard I worked, she wanted to fail me.
