Seeking knowledge in Islam is not just about learning fact as it is an act of worship. To gain true wisdom and blessings, we must follow the right manners (adab) when learning. Here are some key principles every student should remember:

1. Have a Sincere Intention

Before learning, ask yourself: Why am I seeking knowledge? A Muslim should learn to get closer to Allah, not for fame, wealth, or to show off. The Prophet warned that those who seek knowledge for the wrong reasons will not even smell the scent of Paradise (Abu Dawud).

2. Stay Humble

No matter how much knowledge we gain, we must never feel arrogant. True scholars, like Imam Ash-Shafii, always stayed humble and were open to learning from others. Remember, arrogance blocks wisdom.

3. Respect Your Teachers

Our teachers are our guides in knowledge. The scholars of the past treated their teachers with deep respect, listening carefully and avoiding rude behavior. Imam Malik, for example, would never read a hadith in front of his teacher without showing the highest respect.

4. Be Patient and Keep Trying

Knowledge is not gained overnight. It requires patience and consistent effort. Imam Bukhari memorized hundreds of thousands of hadiths through years of dedication. Never give up when studying feels difficult.

5. Apply What You Learn

Knowledge without action is useless. The Prophet said that those who don’t practice what they learn will face severe consequences on Judgment Day (al-Tabarani). So, always try to use your knowledge to improve yourself and help others.

6. Share Knowledge with Others

Teaching others is a way to increase your own understanding. The Prophet encouraged us to spread knowledge, even if it is just one verse (al-Bukhari). Knowledge shared is knowledge multiplie

Islam is built on five main acts, called the Five Pillars of Islam. These pillars are the foundation of a Muslim’s life.

1. Shahadah (Declaration of Faith)

- A Muslim must believe and say:

“There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is His Messenger”.

-This belief makes a person a Muslim and reminds them to worship only Allah.

2. Salah (Prayer)

-Muslims pray five times a day: Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha.

-Prayer connects Muslims to Allah and helps them stay disciplined.

3. Zakat (Charity)

-Muslims give 2.5% of their savings to help the poor.

- It teaches kindness and ensures that everyone in society is cared for.

4. Sawm (Fasting in Ramadan)

- During Ramadan, Muslims fast from dawn to sunset.

- Fasting teaches patience, self-control, and gratitude to Allah.

5. Hajj (Pilgrimage to Makkah)

- Once in a lifetime, if able, a Muslim must visit Makkah for Hajj.

- Hajj brings Muslims together and reminds them of equality and faith.

Muslims believe in six things. Three of the most important are Allah, angels, and prophets.

1. Belief in Allah

• Allah is the only God.

• He created everything and knows everything.

• He has no partner, no children, and no equal.

• Muslims worship only Allah.

2. Belief in Angels

-Angels are created from light and always obey Allah.

• They do not eat, drink, or sleep.

• Some important angels:

• Jibril : brings Allah messages.

• Mikail : controls rain and food.

• Israfil : will blow the trumpet on Judgment Day.

3. Belief in Prophets

- Prophets are humans chosen by Allah to guide people.

-The first prophet was Adam, and the last was Muhammad

-Other prophets include Nuh, Ibrahim, Musa, and Isa.

1. Belief in the Quran

The Quran is Allah’s final book sent to Prophet Muhammad as a guide for life. It teaches what is right and wrong and will never change.

2. Belief in Judgment Day

One day, the world will end, and everyone will be judged by Allah. The good will enter Paradise, and the bad will enter Hell.

3. Belief in Destiny

Allah knows everything, but people still have free choice. This belief helps Muslims stay strong and trust Allah’s plan.

Minor Signs (Happening Before the Major Signs)

1. People will compete in building tall buildings.

2. Knowledge will disappear, and ignorance will spread.

3. Many natural disasters and killings will happen.

Major Signs (Big Events Before Qiyamah)

1. The appearance of Dajjal A false messiah who will spread lies and mislead people.

2. The return of Prophet Isa (Jesus) He will defeat Dajjal and bring justice.

3. The sun will rise from the west – When this happens, repentance will no longer be accepted.

1. Be Kind and Respectful

• Speak to your parents with politeness and always show them respect.

• Never raise your voice or argue with them.

2. Help and Care for Them

• Assist your parents when they need help, whether at home or with other tasks.

• Be patient and take care of them, especially as they grow older.

3. Make Dua for Them

• Pray for your parents, asking Allah to bless them, forgive their sins, and grant them Paradise.

• The Quran teaches us to pray for our parents even after they pass away.
