In the ,"Are Australia's gun laws the solution for the U.S", article it explains the success of Australia's gun laws. Australia has not had a mass shooting since April 1996. The article states , " when Martin Bryant wielded a semi-automatic weapon at a former prison colony and tourist attraction in Tasmania ." The event was soon called the Port Arthur massacre and it was the turning point in Australia's gun control policy. Two weeks following the Port Arthur massacre, all six states of Australia agreed to the sweeping of dangerous weapons that could possible be use to kill an individual. Also, Australia made the ownership of guns more difficult by establishing a 28 day waiting period, thorough background checks , and a justifiable reason of owning a gun and self-protection is not a good reason. Unlike, the United States Australia's gun control policy has protect its citizens , and overall made their country a safer place.
Katie Beck , " Are Australia's gun laws the solution for the US?
How America’s Gun Laws Compare to Canada’s?

In the article, “How America’s Gun Laws Compare to Canada’s”, it explains that to have proper gun control in the United States we must first limit the availability of deadly weapons like Canada. This article focuses on the difficulty of obtaining an AR-15 in Canada versus the United States. In Canada, there are many task and steps that must be completed in order to purchase this deadly weapon. However in the United States, guns can be simply be obtained by purchasing it through the “black market of weapons” . This sort of availability to deadly weapons is what is driving America’s homicides rates through the roof. The United States must implement some of Canada’s gun control laws to ensure the safety of our country and citizens.
Jason Turnbull , " How America’s Gun Laws Compare to Canada’s?
How Japan almost eradicated gun crime

The article, “How Japan almost eradicated gun crime”, describes why mass shootings in Japan are so rare compared to the United States. Unlike America, Japan bans all handguns and only permits air-rifles and shotguns. In order to obtain ownership of these two guns, a thorough background investigation must be taken place, which includes previous jobs, associates, colleagues, and family members are to be taken into consideration. Also, a psychiatric evaluation and a drug test is required to even be considered for an application. Once you have been cleared, you must take a full class and pass the shooting range test with a score of 95% or above. On the other hand, the United States does not take as many precautions when approving someone’s gun license, and this allows for anybody to receive a deadly weapon. How can be protect our country from international terrorism if we cannot protect our country from domestic terrorism?
Harry Low , " How Japan almost eradicated gun crime " http://www.bbc.com/news/magazine-38365729

This article explains the gun cultures of different countries compared to the United States and evaluates the likelihood of a mass shooting occurring in other countries compared to the United States. In the U.S there are more guns than people, however, for countries such as France, Canada, and Germany there is one gun available for every thirty people. The United States is ranked second in the deadliest mass shooting, since 1980. This should not be so because the United States is more development than it was in the 1980s. Also, it is 6 times more likely for a mass shooting to occur in the United States than any other allied country. This is not a good look for an international superpower. Although, the United States has always taken on the responsibility of helping-out countries it time for our allied countries to help put in place a more secure gun control policy. Darla Cameron and Samuel Granados , " Mass shootings: How U.S. gun culture compares with the rest of the world " , https://padlet.com/cheilchania/yg5b9he910t2

Comparing Gun Deaths by Country: The U.S. Is in a Different World

This article explains the devastating approximations of gun deaths in the United States compared to other countries. According to this article, deaths are just as common as homicides in the United States. However in other countries, such as Norway, China and Spain, the gun homicides are substantially lower due to the fact that these countries make it harder to get ownership of a gun. In the U.S, citizens can have multiple guns in the household this privilege is never a possibility in these other countries. If the Untied States does not take the proper precautions needed for gun control we will definitely suffer the consequences.
Kevin Quealy and Margot Sanger-Katz , " Comparing Gun Deaths by Country: The U.S. Is in a Different World " , https://www.nytimes.com/2016/06/14/upshot/compare-these-gun-death-rates-the-us-is-in-a-different-world.html
