         <description><![CDATA[<div>1. During Lincoln's arrival as president, technology advanced and brought the use of the telegraph to communicate with his commanders and other leaders. This along with his use of publications and newspapers, Lincoln was able to further enhance his messages to the people.&nbsp;<br><br>2. Unlike Washington, Lincoln brought new ways of communication, one being the telegraph, and another key component is the use of debates. Debates allowed Lincoln to further emphasize his remarks which ultimately led him to become a man of the people.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1. McKinley communicated through common methods such as speeches and newspapers but, he also brought in a new method the use of moving picture. He used commercials and advertisements into the mix which drastically changed the meta of communication since, in the modern day, presidents still prioritize both commercials and advertisements.&nbsp;<br><br>2. With the help of commercials and advertisements, people were no longer needing to attend speeches in order to hear what McKinley had to say. These new methods brought in a new wave of communication which is still being used to this day. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1. T.R. implemented a new use of the newspaper. He utilized slogans and political cartoons as a way to enhance his message to the people. Being that newspapers were easy to access to the people, many were able to get their hands on the information that T.R. was spreading.<br><br>2. T.R. went back to the old method of communication, through the use of newspapers. He did not use a new method like McKinley but instead sticked to his guns and use a more direction method of communication to the people.</div>]]></description>

Giving addresses through the radio gave a new feel for the people and made it more genuine, especially considering the time era FDR is addressing to.&nbsp;<br><br>2. Transitioning from physical media to digital media allowed FDR to better connect with the American people and set a new wave for communication that no other president had used.</div>]]></description>

JFK through the use of a new invention, the television, was able to gain fame and a visual perspective of his addresses for the people to rally for him and ultimately win the election. Anyone with access to television was able to tune in and watch JFK and his charisma was not shown by any president before him.&nbsp;<br><br>2. JFK utilized the television to spread his message and show his charisma instead of using the radio to relay his addresses. It is an easier and much more convenient method to give addresses which helped him win the election over Kennedy. </div>]]></description>

The progression of the internet has shown great advancements for presidents and their campaigns. Clinton was the closest to modern-day social media as he was the first to use e-mails in his campaign and he led the groundwork for later presidents as social media became a big part of presidential campaigns. </div>]]></description>

And although he didn't go all out with the use of Twitter and social media, it showed that presidents have a new range of communication for them to use in their campaigns and presidency. Obama as well used common methods such as TV coverage, newspapers, and debates in his campaign.&nbsp;<br><br>2. Social media rose to the top of communication regarding presidents and their campaigns. Obama became the first to utilize this new wave of social media and set a new benchmark for people to get a hold of political information.</div>]]></description>

Without any drawbacks, he was able to spew whatever came to mind and allowed everyone to see it for themselves.<br><br>2. Similar to Obama, Trump utilized social media in a grand aspect in his campaigning. Unlike Obama, who had his messages reviewed beforehand, Trump would freely push out his views and remarks. </div>]]></description>
