On the individual level, children are mostly acculturated by their parents who lack a bicultural or multicultural worldview, which perpetuates ethnocentrism and racist beliefs. Racism has been proven to be a learned behavior and children are acculturated into racist beliefs by their parents and their main source of entertainment, television programs.
