Maddie, An Ad I Used to See

There's this ad that used to pop up that never failed to give me chills. I have been struggling to find it this morning, so I'll just summarize: There were a bunch of pictures of suffragettes in the streets, and a woman's voice (I believe she was a historian) said something along the lines of, "People always say that women got the right to vote in 1919. Women didn't 'get' the right to vote; we took it." I found that video to be so empowering, and I wish I could find it to put the link here. I'll keep looking for it!

I recently read a book called "sisters in law" about Ruth Bader Ginsberg and Sandra Day O'Connor that really made me think about women's rights as related to the supreme court. Really, we've gone backwards in some recent rulings.
