Marine pollution harms the ocean in many ways. Marine Pollution is bad for the environment and sea animals. Saving the environment is very important because when people pollute into the ocean, sea animals eat the plastic. These animals can get stuck in the plastic and even choke on it. We can help the environment by picking up trash and recycling. We can talk about this on the news to spread awareness that ocean animals are dying because of people that pollute. Starting with the estimate of 150 million tons of trash polluting the ocean, there is something called leakage that adds about 9.1 million more tons of trash. Research shows that by 2050, there could be more plastic in the ocean than fish. Marine pollution isn't just polluting our oceans, it has been causing greenhouse gas which can cause rising sea levels, climate change, global warming and more. We can also make some street clean up clubs as well as beach cleanup clubs run by marine pollution experts that know a lot about how the ocean works. We can make commercials to advertise these clubs and put them on TV. We can also make flyers and put them around common places like grocery stores, malls, etc.

In conclusion, we need to spread awareness on social media and the news. Many sea animals are dying, and the ocean is being filled with plastic by the minute. It is very sad because more than 80% of the ocean has not been discovered. Marine pollution can also affect global warming and cause sea levels to rise. We need to act on marine pollution as soon as possible. It cannot be ignored anymore.
