I taught high school chemistry and physics courses. I wrote mini-lessons covering the important concepts of the subject. I used multiple forms of illustrations, mostly technology based. I tried to equip my students with all the tools needed to critically and analytically navigate the web as well as inspire them to be life long learners. This is very important with the vast amount of resource available online.

I used to give them a test and ask them to search the web for answers saying “ If that is cheating, then I am asking you to cheat. I want you to be able to find your way out safely when you are stuck.”. The students who grasp the taught concepts are the one who will search them in the most appropriate, analytical and critical way. That is still a way to examine and evaluate their knowledge. It is the also the situation in real life.

The web is always at their hand.
