My action plan is about enhancing student agency by giving students choice, co-creating goals, encouraging reflection, and using digital tools. The aim is to help students feel empowered, responsible, and confident.

I think focusing on student choice would be impactful—like choice boards, projects, and assessment formats. Do you all wall want to build on that?

We then planned how this could be executed in our school context by setting a clear goal: to provide meaningful opportunities for students to make learning choices while ensuring guidance and support from teachers. Roles were defined—teachers act as facilitators by offering structured options, and students take responsibility for selecting and justifying their choices. We gathered resources such as choice boards, digital tools (Padlet, Google Slides), and classroom display spaces. Decision-making was agreed upon collaboratively: 3–4 options would be provided to balance freedom with structure. Monitoring and evaluation would happen through weekly reflections and teacher check-ins. Adjustments would be made based on student feedback, and finally, review and reflection would take place at the end of the unit to measure how choice impacted engagement and learning.

As a group, we created a visual cycle model of our collaborative planning process, which included the stages of: Goal setting → Roles → Information gathering → Decision-making → Monitoring & Evaluation → Adjustments → Review & Reflection. This model shows how we worked together to refine and implement our action plan while keeping student agency and school culture in mind.

I notice that many of us mentioned respect and active listening as key elements of collaboration. This shows we all value creating a safe and supportive environment where everyone’s voice is heard.

Reflecting on our vision for collaboration and after reading others, I would like to bring practices such as co-creating goals with colleagues, being more intentional about shared decision-making, and using structured reflection points in group work. I also realized the importance of not just dividing tasks, but truly co-constructing ideas so that collaboration becomes a process of growth for everyone involved.
