I think what I’m sitting with is how long it must have taken to braid each strand of hair in the Malcolm Peacok exhibit. Like the amount of time that he put in to express this idea is really astounding and beautiful

Just like how Jamal was inspired to by the art and artist we see today in the Black Earth Rising exhibit to create a beautiful piece of music and art — We also have the ability to inspire others through the community work that we do at CCSJ too. Like a domino effect, it only takes one to fall before the others come tumbling behind.

Each house is on its own canvas but the artist placed them together seamlessly. Lending to the idea that each home holds its own unique past and people with valuable experiences that make up the entire Baltimore community.
