At first, people probably wouldn't pay attention to this because they have no clue who the mysterious murder is. But once the guest realize that the murder is one of themselves, they should have asked themselves, "Who would set up the mystery like a legal court?"

While the political cue were trying solve the mystery, they clearly knew that Edward Seton was guilty when Wargrave "killed" him. Owen luring them to a mysterious island. Once they arrive on the island and introduce themselves, suddenly a recording plays accusing each one of the guests of a murder they committed. That evening, one of the guests is found murdered from a dose of cyanide. After discussing the situation, the survivors realize that the killer is among them and could be anybody. As time goes on they also come to find that the killer murdering guests according to a nursery rhyme hung in everyone's room.
